Joseph Simmons aka Run, Darryl McDaniels aka DMC and Jason Mizell aka Jam Master Jay make up Run-DMC hailing from Hollis, Queens, New York. Formed in 1983 Run-DMC would become one of the most influential groups in Hip Hop of all time. They elevated the music and style to new levels and broke sales records with the release of their self-titled debut (first rap album to be certifed Gold), Kings of Rock (first rap album to be certifed Platinum ) and Raising Hell (first rap album to be certified double Platinum).
