GET ON DOWN EXCLUSIVE
PRESSED ON DOUBLE SMOKY HAZE COLORED VINYL* WITH A 30TH ANNIVERSARY COMEMMORATIVE OBI LIMITED TO 1993 COPIES
PACKAGED IN A GATEFOLD JACKET WITH PRINTED INNER SLEEVES AND 3 BONUS TRACKS
Thirty years ago On July 20, 1993, Los Angeles hip-hop legends Cypress Hill first unleashed their sophomore opus, Black Sunday, on the unsuspecting masses. The record changed rap music with its dark undercurrent, Latin inflection, no holds-barred storytelling, and the inimitable interplay between B-Real and Sen Dog cast over psychedelically spun gothic rap soundscapes courtesy of DJ Muggs. It bowed at #1 on the Billboard 200, and they made history as “the first rap group to land two albums in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 simultaneously.” Plus, “I Ain’t Goin’ Out Like That” garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Rap Performance.”
Get On Down is proud to present a deluxe and expanded limited edition pressing of Cypress Hill's best selling album. Packaged in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves, the album is pressed on double smoky haze colored vinyl with a commemorative OBI numbered to 1,993 copies worldwide. In addition to the album's original tracklisting complete with Mugg's interlude not found on some prior pressings, three bonus tracks have been added previously found on Cypress Hill 12-inch singles. This is the definitive pressing of Black Sunday.
