Smith's music (Expansions, 1974 and Visions of a New World, 1975) has served as the foundation for iconic hip-hop samples and ecstatic dance floor revelry. Lonnie Liston Smith 017 marks the legend's return to the Fender Rhodes keyboard, an instrument he had not played since the 1970s. All songs produced by Adrian Younge & Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
