Vigilante Season is the official debut album from Harlem emcee and former Dipset and Byrdgang affiliate Max Biggaveli, better known as Max B. The album was recorded in 2008 with fellow Harlem producer Dame Grease while Max B was out on bail, fighting a felony murder charge he was arrested for in 2006. From 2006 until he was sentenced in 2009 to 75 years in prison, Max B released more than a dozen mixtapes in the prime of Datpiff. Three years after being sentenced, Vigilante Season was finally released in 2011 and became an underground classic. In 2016, Max B's sentence was reduced to 20 years after appealing and pleading to a lesser charge of aggravated assault, setting his release date for November 9, 2025. Nearly fourteen years after the release of his debut album and two days before he enters the free world, Phase One is releasing Vigilante Season for the first time on vinyl. The album is pressed on orange smoke-colored vinyl and limited to 500 hand-numbered copies.
