Baltimore Club Music aka BMore Club is a music genre that fuses breakbeat and house. It was created in Baltimore, Maryland in the early to late 1990s. On a powerful sound system, the music is at its best—a 128 BPM breakbeat with a stripped-down bass, then a hot, raunchy, or hyped vocal hook-on loop, and possibly a few lyrical stanzas, similar to Luther Campbell of the 2 Live Crew's Miami Bass call and response records. Unruly Records based in Baltimore has compiled a history of the early years on vinyl and CD along with a special 12-inch of BMore Club staple Booty Mission.
